Paraprofessional Testing
Working with students in a supportive role is one of the most rewarding decisions you can make. Becoming a paraprofessional is one avenue to making a difference in students' lives.
There are several pathways to becoming a licensed paraprofessional. You may apply for your paraprofessional license IF:
- You hold an Associate's Degree or Higher OR
- You have successfully completed 60 semester hours of college coursework OR
- You do not have 60 semester hours or an Associate's Degree or Higher but have received a high school diploma or GED along with a passing score on the paraprofessional test
If you meet the requirements for the third option above but still need to complete the paraprofessional examination, ROE 4 can help! The testing fee is $50.00 (cash, check, or debit/credit card if paying in-person). Note that registration can be done in-person at Boone-Winnebago ROE 4 or online.

I understand that by registering for the paraprofessional test I will be responsible for any registration fees unless my intent to cancel is received in-person at Boone-Winnebago Regional Office of Education or by direct telephone call to our office during regular weekday business hours (phone messages are not acceptable) within 5 business days of your scheduled examination date. Refunds will not be processed unless this criteria is met.
(The test can only be taken once every 30 days, not including the initial test date.)
