
Area 2 Social-Emotional Learning Hub
Supporting educator wellness and strengthening student well-being

The Area 2 Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Hub is a regional collaboration of seven different ROEs in Northern Illinois and is based out of the ROE4 office. The Hub’s mission is to help schools across our region to implement strategic, sustainable, and equitable social-emotional learning that support both staff and student wellness.
The Hub offers SEL-specific professional development, training, and support to schools across all seven regions it encompasses. Some of what the Hub offers includes:

Our Impact
In alignment with ISBE’s SEL and Resilience Education to Advance Community Healing (REACH)/Resilience-Supportive Schools Illinois (RSSI) initiatives, the SEL Hub focuses on:

Promoting adult SEL and educator wellness

Improving student outcomes through SEL integration

Ensuring data-driven, equitable, and sustainable SEL implementation

Providing ongoing coaching and support tailored to local needs
professional learning opportunities
Each year, the Area 2 SEL Hub delivers high-quality professional learning events, facilitated by expert trainers and tailored to the evolving needs of schools.
