Subs for Subs

Districts in Boone and Winnebago counties need caring substitute teachers. The license process can feel overwhelming, but ROE 4 makes it easy! Join us for our in-person Subs for Subs event to learn how you can support local learners.

Registration fee includes:
* Lunch
* Complimentary fingerprinting
* Substitute teaching toolkit that includes HR contact and application information for Boone-Winnebago School Districts
* A hands-on walkthrough of the application process from ROE 4 Licensure Specialist, Leah Blake
* What to Expect When You Are Subbing, an adapted version of the ISBE sub training facilitated by Janelle Townley and Christine Schweitzer

Attendees who wish to leave the event with a completed sub packet will need to bring a completed doctor's physical form and a copy of their official (sealed) school's transcript from an institution of higher education. There will be an additional fee for obtaining an official substitute teaching license through the Illinois State Board of Education, so attendees should bring a debit or credit card. 

Please bring a driver's license or photo ID this workshop. A list of additional materials required for the training will be sent to participants one week prior to the event.

Option 1: Substitute Teaching License 

• Substitute Application Fee - $50
• Substitute License Registration Fee - $60 

Option 2: Short-Term Substitute Teaching License 

• Short-Term Substitute Teaching Application Fee - $25
• No Registration Fee
