Attendance & Truancy Intervention
Helping students break barriers to attendance
Our Attendance Interventionists, also known as Truancy Interventionists, work with students who show patterns of chronic absenteeism. By partnering with students, families, and schools, we help identify barriers to attendance and develop strategies that keep students engaged in learning before legal action becomes necessary.

Our team provides:
-
Home visits and family outreach to understand challenges and build trust
-
Connections to school and community resources to overcome barriers
-
Attendance agreements and goal setting to create accountability
-
Ongoing monitoring and follow-up support to sustain progress

Once a school identifies chronic absenteeism, the student is referred to our program and we begin working immediately to support both the student and family.
If absenteeism continues despite intervention, our team partners with Regional Court Services to prepare cases, share documentation, and guide families through the next steps of the legal process.
