Understanding Illinois' Accountability Redesign: Profiles and Practice

Join us for a two-hour professional development session designed to help school leaders understand and prepare for Illinois' school accountability redesign! Moving beyond traditional weighted indexes, the redesign addresses several concerns in the current model (such as “moving goalposts”.) Using realistic scenarios, participants will learn how core indicators (Proficiency, Growth, Graduation Rate) and elevating indicators (EL Progress, Consistent Attendance, Climate Survey) interact to determine a school’s summative designation. You will leave with practical tools and feel more confident explaining the proposed changes to stakeholders throughout your educational community.
