Restoring Family Connections

Restorative Practices (RP) may be best known for its focus on building relationships between people within a school setting. What is less commonly understood is how Restorative Practices can be utilized to improve school and family relationships. This session will begin with the basics of Restorative Practices, including the Nine Affects and the Social Discipline Window, and then expand to explore how Fair Process and other RP structures can look when part of the home-school relationship. Last, but not least, participants will understand how the implementation of Restorative Practices is a commitment to equitable school/family partnerships. This program is offered FREE of charge courtesy of the Area 2 SEL Hub.
