This 2-day ONLINE academy is for educators who are seeking initial training to be legally qualified to conduct evaluations of licensed personnel. The training aligns to the Illinois School Code competencies defined by Administrative Code Part 50, Section 50.420 (a-b).

Pre-work is required for this training and MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO 4/18!! Please be advised you will not be admitted to the class unless the pre-work assignment(s) is completed.

This online, self-paced class features the basics of how trauma impacts the body, brain and behavior. It offers not only an understanding of trauma and what trauma-informed teaching looks like in practice, but over 20 practical strategies to help our traumatized and misunderstood students thrive.

During this workshop, participants will look at new strategies for leveraging the full capacity of the Google Suite and other amazing digital tools, all while learning how to effectively distribute and manage these activities through Google Classroom. School districts and school buildings across the state are recognizing the benefits of formalizing teacher leadership programs to improve instruction and student achievement. Participants will learn how schools have expanded teachers' roles and responsibilities and instituted rewards and recognition programs to give teacher leaders new and increased importance in improving classroom instruction. They will also explore the leadership characteristics and skills that successful teacher leaders must possess and how to initiate a teacher leader culture in one's school.

The mandatory pre-work and post-work time has been estimated at 3 hours.

This is one of the Teacher Evaluator Professional Practice academies that needs to be taken for Retraining of Teacher Evaluators. This AA must be paired with AA 3000 to fulfill the entire retraining requirement. Course credit = 1 AA or 6 PDCs.

This academy will allow participants to learn effective skills and strategies for using Charlotte Danielson's Frameworks in a summative setting.

This networking meeting is open to all educational technology positions including technology directors, instructional technology coaches, and any other positions interested in discussing the current state of technology in our schools. While a short presentation may lead off our time together, the majority of the meeting will be open for participants to share their experiences and challenges with the group.
