Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death for student athletes, and a global leading cause of death. When sudden cardiac arrest occurs, time is of the essence: the bystander has only 3-5 minutes to save a life by using CPR and AED. Beginning January 2025, all schools are mandated to have a cardiac emergency response plan (HB 5394).
In this quick session, run by a Principal and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor, learn how to make your school heart safe and fulfill law requirements in just a few quick and easy steps.
