Vocabulary: Words Matter (Grades Pre-K - 3)

We highly encourage those interested in any of our literacy events to attend this first, comprehensive overview session!

During this one-day session, participants will explore strategies to not only enhance students' word consciousness but also to leverage vocabulary as a tool for critical thinking and understanding complex concepts. Join us in examining the transformative impact of vocabulary knowledge on elevating reading comprehension and fostering a deeper engagement with the written word.

“Teaching Reading Sourcebook” (3rd edition) by Honig Diamond Gutlohn is required for this session. Your registration for this event includes the price of the book ($100), which will be provided to you at the time of the event. Our trainings are based on the most-recent, Third Edition, of the book. If attendees have the 1st or 2nd edition, the editions are similar enough to work (to the best of our knowledge). You MUST bring the book with you to all sessions as it is required for all events.
