The Science of Reading: An Introduction and Practical Classroom Applications

The Science of Reading: An Introduction and Practical Classroom Applications

SOLD OUT!!!

This workshop is designed to provide participants with an overview of reading science (or “The Science of Reading,” as it is widely known) and how it applies to their instructional spaces. Research will be shared and discussed, but the majority of the workshop will focus on pedagogy and practical applications for embedding SoR-aligned literacy practices and learning opportunities into everyday instruction.  Taking into account the exceptionally challenging school year educators will have recently completed, this workshop will be gentle, accommodating, and responsive to teacher needs.

This workshop is presented by Amy Stewart, Ed.D, author of Little Readers, Big Thinkers: Teaching Close Reading in the Primary Grades.
